According to the legend, if they take a deep-bath in the cold water of Damodar Kunda (lake), they will be freed from all the sins. This trek is the ideal trek to explore the Damodar massif, Tibetan plateau as well as the Annapurna range. In this trek you also get chance to know the culture and tradition of the different ethnic groups like Gurung, Magars, and Thakali etc.
Mustang Damodar Kunda trek begins with the 30 minutes scenic flight from Pokhara to Jomsom or you can also start from Nayapul after short drive from Pokhara via Ghorepani. In this trek you can explore the thousands years old ancient monastery, ruined caves, artistic desert land of the Trans Himalayan region as well as the Tibetan society. Damodar Kunda lies in the upper mustang between the Muktinath and the Kagbeni. Kagbeni which is situated on the bank of the Kali Gandaki River is famous for Saligram, a stone on which the image of Hindu Lord Vishnu is carved. In Kagbeni you see the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims flocked to Muktinath, the sacred place of Hindu and Buddhist. As this region is the cold and windy place, the best seasons to go for Mustang Damodar Kunda Trek are summer and autumn.

Day 10: Trek from Yara to Ghuma Thanti (4800m) and trek for about 7 to 8 hours and rest the night at tented camp.
Day 11: Trek from Ghuma Thanti to Damodar Kunda (4890m), trek for nearly about 9 to 10 hours and rest the night over there.
Day 12: Damodar Kunda to Ghuma Thanti (4800m), trek for about 7 to 8 hours and rest the night over there at tented camp
Day 13: Ghuma Thanti to Yara (3900m) and rest the night at tented camp after the trekking of 8 hours.
Day 14: Yara to Tangye (3240m) and rest the night over at tented camp after the trekking of 7 hours.
Day 15: Tangye to Tetang (3040m), trek for about 10 hours and rest the night at tented camp.
Day 16: Trek from Tetang to Muktinath (3700m), trek for about 6 hours and rest the night at local lodge at Muktinath.
Day 17: Muktinath to Jomsom (2720m), trek for about 5 to 6 hours and rest the night at local lodges.
Day 18: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight and then sightseeing at the Pokhara and rest the night at hotel.
Day 19: Pokhara to Kathmandu by bus, drive for about 7 to 8 hours and rest the night at hotel.
Day 20: Farewell and final departure towards the home destination
