The journey to Island Peak starts with the adventurous flight to Lukla from Ramechhap where you'll witness magnificent views. The trek through the picturesque trails of the High Himalayas in the Everest region, passing through Phakding, and Namche Bazaar, and you will visit the ancient historic Buddhist Monastery in Tengbuche.
Island Peak Climbing via Everest Base Camp Trek not only offers stunning views and climbing experience but also a glimpse into the rich Sherpa cultural, heritage of the region. Arriving at Mt Everest Base Camp will be the highlight of your destination, where you can see many adventure lovers gather to embark on their journey to conquer Everest. Most of them will return home after exploring around there in Everest Base Camp.
After visiting the most famous Sunrise viewpoint in Kalapathar, your guide will bring you to the Island Peak Base Camp. Where you will meet with your Climbing Team, The climbing Guide and Kitchen team have already fixed the camp; they will welcome you with warm drinks and a delicious Lunch.
After refreshing at Island Peak Base Camp, the Climbing Guide will invite you to participate in tree climbing training and acclimatization by visiting Imja Glacier. Discuss with the Team leader about Island Climbing and climbing gear preparation.
Early morning at 1 am, your guide will knock on your tent with Hot Drinks. At about 1:30 am start your journey to the top of Island Peak. The peak, resembling an island amidst the icy Himalayan landscape, presents a thrilling challenge. With its elevation of 6189 meters, climbing Island Peak requires determination, basic mountaineering skills, and careful acclimatization.
