With only 5,846m to scale, you don’t need to be a descendent of legendary Sherpas or mountaineers to fulfil your mountaineering dream.
Towering above the fabled Langtang Valley, Naya Kang Peak Climb is full of alpine mysteries and cultural discoveries. Naya Kang Peak at 5,846m, offers Great Mountain hiking experience gaining 850m from the trailhead to the summit. It is an exposed rock climbing, a novice friendly mountain, offering all the experience of climbing without needing the expertise and knowledge of how to use the climbing gear.
Naya Kanga Peak rises west of the Ganja La (5,122m) and offers dramatic of mountains in Nepal and Tibet. LangshisaRi (6,370m), PemthangRi (6,836m), Shisapangma (8,013m), LangtangLirung (7,425m), PemthangKaproRi (6,830m) and Langtang II (6,571m) are some dominant peak seen from the summit of Naya Kang Peak.
Naya Kang Peak Climbing trail goes through dense rhododendron and oak forest and gradually leads to a mush rockier and marshy land. Hiking via GhodaTabela and KyanjinGompa, we reach TserkoRi – a good viewpoint to acclimatize and enjoy the view. Then we continue towards Naya Kang Peak. The common climbing route to Naya Kanga is via northeast face & northern ridge.
The entire Naya Kang Peak trail goes through Langtang National Park which is well-known for its natural grandeur. The National Park is blessed with astounding peaks, glaciers, waterfalls and forest and within itself harbors different kinds of floral and faunal species. The region is equally blessed with cultural diversities – you will get the good glimpse of Hindus and Tibetan Buddhist culture. The faith of Buddhism is well portrayed through prayer flags, wheels, monasteries and Chortens.
The Pain: Round-trip, you have start very early and spend all day in thin air.
The Gain: It is always cool when you the view of Langtang Ranges and deep valleys from the top.
