Sirubari is one of the typical Gurung villages of Nepal Located in the Syangja District, western region of Nepal. In this village there are about 45 typical Gurung houses with slate roof. Sirubari village is on the lap of beautiful white capped peaks and very neat and clean. During this village tour visitors can see typical Gurung way of life with their own language, dress, culture foods and festivals. Due to the great hospitability and sanitation this village is declared as the model village of Nepal by the government. This village is famous for local foods, vegetable, wine, honey and Handicraft. Most of the houses of this village are designed for home stay so there is good home stay service in this village. Gurung people of this village make warm welcome to their guests as their own family members which will give the family friendly environment to its visitors. Most of senior male Gurung people of this village are retired from the British, Singapore and Indian army and they will tell war story of past very interestingly visitors are impressed by their brave war story. Moreover visitors can know the hidden story of the Gorkha soldier while staying and talking with ex Gorkha soldiers. To give full entertainment to the visitors Gurung people of this village organize singing and dancing program in every evening.
Sirubari village is not only famous for Gurung culture and festivals it is equally attractive in terms of natural beauty. From view tower located above the Sirubari village stunning glimpse of the beautiful snowy peaks such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Lamjung Himal can seen. The rice terraces field is so beautiful with their crops and this village has verities of seasonal fruits and flowers. There are many options to the visitors to reach to Sirubari village. Now small van direct from Pokhara reach to Sirubari so if the visitors are hurry and avoid trek can use this option. But if the visitors are interested to walk on slope trail of the hilly region they can start trek from Syangja Naudanda after one hour bus drive from Pokhara and after 4/5 hours of walk visitors reach to Sirubari.
