The trekking starts from the adventurous mountain flight taking you to the small yet vibrant Sherpa town Lukla from Kathmandu. The flight acts as the trailer to see the terrain and the mountains to walk on as the Mountain View from the window of your plane is magnificent. The landing in the world’s most extreme airport provides a thrilling sensation and once you have landed in Lukla the walking on the trail to Everest Base Camp starts.

The trek is easier as the trail is slightly downhill and flat until Phakding. The first day’s trek to Phakding is easy and gets fast with the anticipation of encountering the world’s tallest mountain.

The short hiking to the Everest View Hotel or the hiking to Khumjung would be your acclimatization activity. During a day’s break in Namche, you can observe the lifestyle of Sherpa along with the panoramic views of the Mountains in the Mahalangur range like Kongde, Thamserku, Amadablam, Tabuche, Everest, Lhotse, Kusum Pangaru, etc.

The combination of uphill and downhill crossing the river as well as alpine forests will take you to the spiritual Sherpa village of Tengboche. This place is famous for the monastery and lots of trekkers find peace and tranquility in this picturesque village. The smell of incense and the sound of prayers would revitalize your inner soul.

From Tengboche, the trekking trail leads you to Gorakshep passing by the Dingboche. Gorakshep will act as your camping site from where the short hiking in Nepal will take you to the Everest Base Camp. The colorful tents of the climbers and meeting the enthusiastic trekkers at the base camp are another highlight of your journey.

The feeling of excitement and adventure could not be explained in words as it can be seen with the authentic experience in the field. The trek then reroutes back to Lukla passing by Namche and Phakding. Finally, the Everest Base Camp Trek ends in Kathmandu.

Late afternoon, we can visit the monastery and pray for success.

B, L, D

With mountains as its backdrop, the monastery at Tengboche looks more magnificent in the morning. At this moment, you can take pictures of the monastery with the beautiful Himalayan range of Mt. Kwangde and the scenery around you and start your journey as usual. You choose the upper trail for better views on the way to Pangboche. On arrival at Dingboche, you will see a beautiful array of fields enclosed by stone walls to protect barley, buckwheat, and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. Weak up early in the morning, beautiful sun rays come through your windows, Stretch your body by doing some movements and start your day with a climb to Duglha through the Khumbu Khola valley. You will have some tea, coffee, or snacks, or if you are hungry your guide will arrange to have lunch. After a 30-minute break in Thukla, we start a trek ascending to Dugla pass 4830 m,  it will take 1 hrs 20 m. Once we reached the top of Dughla Pass, we will see many stupas, Chhorten, and memorial parks come into our sight. These are for all those trekkers and mountaineers who died while attempting to climb Everest.

The place was giving a different vibe, was it good or bad feelings?  Walking around the painful memories of the great mountaineers, we started ascending further to where the trail was leading us. The trail was getting exciting as we were trekking higher. We reached the glacial moraine of Khumbu Glacier.

The walk along the arid terrace with awesome views of mountains, when you approach the yak herder's place called Dusa, the valley begins to narrow and you continue through Phulung Karpo, the campsite of the first successful Everest Expedition in 1953. Above Phulung Karpo is Chola Lake. As you move on, the majestic view of Mt. Pumori (7138 m/ 23418 ft) comes into your eyesight. As the trail descends and curves, Mt. Pumori disappears from view and gradually you come across a roaring stream.

B, L, D

The trekking trail to Gorakshep goes ahead through the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. You will trek continue through the pyramid.  Ahead on the trail, you see the crest of the north ridge of Mt. Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, etc. A small climb would take you to Thangma Riju from where you perceive a 360-degree vista of snowy mountains.

Climbing gently up to the top through the torrent of Changri Glacier, You catch your first glimpse of Kalapatthar, a grey-green knoll lower than Mt. Pumori. As you reach Gorakshep, you will find snow-capped mountains looming all around you including the top of the world - Mt. Everest view. You almost certainly will have worn out by now so you take some rest and have your lunch and get on the trail to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorakshep valley.

Continuing straight ahead, you come through the Indian army mountaineers' memorials. Only upon reaching the Mt. Everest Base Camp, you will be thankful for the Everest climbers who daringly stepped the hazardous route through the Khumbu icefall. Mountaineers' tents stand out in bright colors against the monotony of gray surroundings, especially in the spring. Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Khumbuste, and Mt.Pumori are the mountains you can view from the Base camp. Everest is not visible from where you stand. You have to ascend more till Kalapatthar to snap the beauty of Mt Everest. Return back to Gorakshep overnight.

B, L, D

Today is the high point of your trip. Stretch you're both your legs early in the morning to catch the remarkable views from Kalapatthar,  the first light of day shining on Mount Everest. However, you need to get prepared for an early morning 4/5 am dark and cold temperature (-10 to -14 C) departure beforehand. Further, there is always the potential for a chill wind which is quite common. Familiar peaks such as Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, and Mt. Changtse tower to the East even as Everest begins to reveal itself emerging between the West shoulder crest and Mt. Nuptse.

During the ascent to Kala Patthar, you can pause to catch your breath at several marvelous viewpoints to snap pictures. Ascending for several hours, you reach Kalapatthar. From this juncture, you move quickly to climb the rocky outcrop near the summit marked by cairns and prayer flags. As you come near the top, you sit on the Kalapatthar where rocks your eyes take the unbelievable Himalayan landscape, traveling from one mighty massif to another. Liberate as many pictures as you can and take the view with your mind's eye to the last natural life. On being back to Gorakshep, you have breakfast and wait for other members to return back. Rest your fatigue of acclimatization reflecting the erasable beauties of the Himalayas at Pheriche Village.

B, L, D

Today, you will trek down through the hillside by rhododendron and juniper trees. If you are there in spring, pink and red Rhododendron flowers ablaze your atmosphere, Depending on your hunger and situation, you either have your lunch in Pangboche or wait until you reach Phunki Tenga village for lunch. Cross the prayer flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River; the trekking trail follows the Dudh Koshi gorge downhill rapidly through the pine forests.

The path ultimately reaches Sansa which is the major trail junction in the region. You stop at Kayangjuma (3570 m/11,710 ft) for a relaxed tea coffee. The trail to Namche Bazaar clings to the steep forested slope beyond Kayangjuma village winding through several bends.  We keep a watch out for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, etc.

While short-lived through the forest by the trail. After passing a Chorten, you reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. At this point, you would like to take a long last look and picture back to Mt. Lhotse, the tip of Mt. Everest and Tengboche. Upon success, your lodge, enjoy a nice hot shower and have a very stress-free sleep in your cozy room in Namche Bazaar. Though you will have some pain around your thigh due to continuous movement the memories that are stuck in your mind and heart slowly cover the pain.

B, L, D

Early in the morning will slowly pinch your ears and knock your head to wake up for the trip. Though it will be not easy to wrap up the warm blanket, we must say goodbye to Namche today. Extend your body for a moment and fill your stomach with warm and mouth-watering breakfast to petrol down the trail and descends gently downward. You need to walk slowly and under control as your shaky legs constantly battle the rocky terrain. Journey to the suspension bridges over the fast-flowing "Dudh Koshi River" and its tributaries, the trail becomes more leveled and natural. By today you will start to get warm up by the light wind. Any outstanding sore throats and colds will slowly vanish from today as you pass through this delightful mountain air.

While you are traveling the same route downhill, you feel finally different. You just snap a mixture of open plains, rhododendron, and pine forests, and in the space snow-covered peaks. You will be exposed to the Sherpa villages noticing inspiring faith in Buddhism and the culture of prayer stones and prayer flags while you walk through the Sherpa villages. Upon arrival at Lukla village, stretch those sore legs and recall the experience of the last couple of weeks.

Your familiarity is the conclusion of a fantastic trek on a happy note with everyone back safe and sound with a smile on their faces! Lots of memories wriggle around your mind and heart. You will feel that you have touched the feet of the Highest Mountain Peak of the world, Mount Everest and it is leaning down to grace you for your happy and prosperous life. Slowly your eyebrows get heavy due to tiredness and you will be lost in the lap of Lukla village waiting for the day to say goodbye to Lukla village. Last day Trek celebration in Lukla.

Trekking to Everest Base Camp. Highly recommended

9th September, 2022

Before the EBC trip, I knew this could be the life trip, so I've researched, read through a lot of reviews, websites and asked around my friends to choose the best tour company as far as I can for my trip. And by word of mouth, I chose this company, Nepal Unique Treks. Not be quite 100% confident at that time. I contacted Dil to arrange the tour agenda, airport pickup, packing list recommendation... Everything is easier than I thought. Although Dil had to take a group to EBC at that time (hardly access to Internet along the way), but he tried to reply my every single questions with patience and carefulness. The day I came to Kathmandu, the flight was delayed more than a hour, but Dil still waited for me there and took me to the very nice hotel in Thamel. On the way to EBC, I knew that me and my friend stopped a lot to take the photos (I myself took around 3k photos for EBC trip). Our guide still waited for us patiently to make sure 2 of us and him always stick together, no one left behind. Some days, the weather is very cold, standing in one place will make you get colder than walking, but our Guide was always standing there and waited for us to take the photos/changing clothes/drinking water/resting. Three of us talked and laughed a lot along the way....

Unforgettable Memories in Everest Base Camp

15th September, 2022

It is tough to put in such few words, the experience we have received from Dil our Guide, our trek was amazing, extraordinary, and flexible, but it was so much more than just that, from the moment we stepped off the plane in Kathmandu, we knew we were in the right hands.

Dil was there to greet us with a warm welcome to Nepal and made us feel immediately comfortable, All our accommodation and transfers were all thoroughly organized. He made us feel at home straight away, As for the trekking itself. The Himalayas are simply breathtaking but what we appreciated the most was Dil’s knowledge of the environment we were in as well as his attentiveness to our group. He was constantly going out of his way to make sure we were feeling good and having a great time.

Trekking at altitude isn’t easy but Dil made it so much easier than it could have been with his kind, flexible, and incredibly funny nature. The flexibility was a big thing. Yes, we had a full and thorough itinerary, but as we trekked higher into the mountains we had to make decisions to change our plans to suit the group.

This was done with such ease. Dil found a way to slightly change our route while still achieving the goal we had set for ourselves in the first place, We made it to Everest Base Camp!!!. There were lots of large groups from other hiking companies that had strict itineraries. Strict and not flexible. Not that we needed another reason, but it once again reassured us that we had made the right decision to trek with Dil.

We did a lot of other things with Dil once the trekking was done. He showed us around Kathmandu and Pokhara. We went to a cultural Nepalese dinner which involved beautiful food and Rocksi, And a stunning 2-day trek out of Pokhara to see one of the most beautiful sunrises the Himalayas have to offer at Poon Hill.

I could go on forever,  Dil has made this trip truly one to remember,  I consider Dil a dear friend and I plan to come back and trek with him once again, When I’m fortunate enough to get some more time off work that is

It begs no further question. Whatever your trekking adventures may be, look no further than to Dil and Nepal Unique Treks & Expedition, If I could give you 6 stars I would, Thanks again Dil Dai see you soon ❤️

Our Trek to Everest Base Camp would not have been successful if we had no helpful and timely support from the Nepal Unique Treks team and Mr Dil Gurung as well. The Everest Base Camp Trek route is extremely wonderful and dangerous, but you must experience it once in your life, just mark your bucket list a check it.

So please please find a trusted tour agency that will accompany with and help you guys to conquer your dream, and Nepal Unique Treks is my priority in reference. I will Come back to Nepal for the Gokyo Route, and of course, Nepal Unique Treks is always my first decision. Thank you so much for your support.

Everest Short Trek, Highly Recommended Nepal Unique Treks

23rd June, 2024

Recently, Ken and I (both in our 60s) did a trek from Lukla to Tengboche with Nepal Unique Treks. This company provided us with comprehensive service, including airport pick-up, transfer to the hiking area, and expert guide on the trek. Our guide, Dil was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to alter the pace of the trek to suit our ability.

Our Sherpa porter was kind and helpful too. This route traversed some of the most magnificent scenery I have ever seen. The walk from Khumjung to Namche Bazar passed through several valleys surrounded by snow-capped peaks- unforgettable!

At night, we stayed in tea houses which were clean and provided good food. This was truly an epic experience, which I will always remember. Thanks to the careful planning of our guide Dil, we were able to complete this trek and appreciate the majesty of the Himalayas. Thank you, Dil.

Unbelievable Experience, Everest Base Camp Trek

5th December, 2018

In 2017, April, I completed the Everest Base Camp Trek 5364m, Dil Gurung was our Trek  Guide, and the trekking agency was an amazing Organizer. Dil was very knowledgeable, super friendly, and a great friend. It was my first trip to Nepal and my first trip in the mountains, and Dil made sure everything went smoothly and I appreciate it.

From Day 1 at the airport till the last day back at the airport, he provided the best service I could ever ask for. Highly recommended! Please contact Dil if you are interested in trekking in Nepal. I will come back for more trekking tours with Nepal Unique Treks. Dil, thank you for the positive energy, encouragement, guidance, and that one painkiller that saved my life!

Everest Base Camp Trek is miles a way from home

23rd June, 2024

To make sure that our group had a great trip, Dil and the Nepal Unique Treks staff went above and beyond. Everything was done professionally, and timely communication made sure that our group could just concentrate on enjoying an exciting vacation. Throughout our time trekking, we never encountered a problem with the guides, porters, or personnel. Dil was always accessible to answer concerns and offer support, and the booking procedure was simple.

Our guide and assistant guide deserve special mention because they were outstanding. I had previously trekked in the Everest region and its surroundings with other organizations, but after this trip, I won't hesitate to book with Nepal Unique Treks. In conclusion, from reservation through arrival and then into.
