Trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill goes through sparkling streams, oak and rhododendron forests and ethnic villages all along the back-drop of mighty Himalayas.You will stay at local teahouse: hospitality and friendliness arereally intriguing. After 1 and half hours of switchback drive, the trail follows the upstream valley through rhododendron and bamboo forest and rise towards a ridge towards Tikhedhunga (1,540m).
Later the trail rises through deep forest of oak, rhododendron and hemlock to Ghorepani (2,850m) with many lodges facilities. A pre-dawn hike from Ghorepani takes you to Poon Hill viewpoint.Poon Hill at 3,210m offers dramatic views of 50km long Annapurna massif and its ethnic people. Likewise, the view of sunrise is a joy to behold, justifying each and every step to get here.
Retrace your step back to hotel for breakfast and descend down to Ghandruk village via Tadapani. Explore the Museum which protects the ancient cultural facts. A few hours hike takes back to your starting point at Nayapul and your transportation back to Pokhara.
