The Tamang people of the Timal area still follow their traditions, such as the lama and the Jhankri. Similarly Tamang people of the Timal region still follow their old system called Choho.

Choho is a clan leader, first selected by community members who continue under a form of hereditary succession. Choho plays multiple roles in the community, such as administrator, judiciary, and spiritual leader. For these services, the community members offer him gifts of alcohol and the head of a sacrificed animal. So during the Timal area trekking, trekkers can know and experience such types of various things related to the culture, tradition, system, custom, and rituals of the Tamang people.

The highest point of this trek is Sailung (3100m), from wherethe beautiful mountains of the Makalu range to the Dhaulagiri range can be seen. Sailung is naturally a very attractive place where, in the winter season, trekkers can enjoy the snow. This place is also famous for different kinds of flower including rhododendron.

Moreover, from Sailun,g trekkers can see the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest, and the plain landscapes of Tarai at once, and this will be the amazing experience to the Trekkers. This trek starts from Phalate Danda and ends in Namobuddha. On the way, it completes the romantic and important journey of several Tamang villages of the Timal area, such as Vimsen Than, Arubot Village, Thulo Parsel, and Kot Timal.
