The capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu, is renowned for having numerous antique temples, palaces, and works of art. This renowned city offers some of the best overnight hikes and short treks across its hills and picturesque villages outside the Kathmandu Valley in addition to cultural tours and heritages.

Traditional Chisapani Nagarkot Trek, Dhulikhel Namo Buddha Balthali Trek, Nagarkot to Dhulikhel Trek, and Chandragiri Chitlang Trek are some of these short treks that depart from and return to Kathmandu in 1 night to 3 nights and 4 days.

Helambu Trek and Gosaikunda Trek are recommended if you're searching for 5- to 7-day hikes, while Gosaikunda Trek has a higher elevation and may be challenging for inexperienced hikers.

You can still enjoy trekking for one or more days through the picturesque hills, lovely hamlets, and local towns if you are on a time schedule or are unable to hike higher up in the mountain.

The tranquil countryside and sub-alpine forests provide a welcome respite from the mundane routine of city life. Most of the walks listed here may be completed in one night, two days, two nights, or three days, making them ideal for families and first-time hikers.

There are several short treks near Kathmandu that you can do. Here are a few options:

This trek combines the best of both worlds, offering stunning views of the Himalayas as well as the lush green forests of the Shivapuri National Park. The trek starts from Sundarijal and takes you through Chisapani, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas, and then on to Nagarkot.

  1. Phulchowki Hill Trek:
